  • This movie will forever be in the top AFI 100. The film has more steroid flowing through it's veins than Lance Armstrong.

  • @MsSlashgirl Hmm, pretty sure there's just one book. It's pretty rare for book based movies to be novelized, thankfully! Just imagine how things would snowball out of control if some corporate executive extrapolated the concept : A horribly unstoppable, self-incestuous singularity of "Book based on the movie based on the book based on the movie based on the book" and so on unto the end of existence .

    Brrr!!

Oh, and Chigurh mentions the arrest to Wells. Maybe that'll jog your memory.

It's weird because I either didn't get to that part in the story {or I forgot about it} or I have the wrong book copy. Because I bought the paperbook one but then I saw another copy at the libary that seemed thicker to me and I wonder if the one I have was based on the movie. But it doesn't say that anywhere on the book so I assume there was only one copy of it released.

  • @MsSlashgirl It's explained in the novel. Chigurh killed a man and allowed himself to be taken into custody. He did this because he wanted to see if he could "extricate himself by an act of will" in his words

    He's insane, in other words.

  • I forget if they ever said why Chirgah was taken into arrest at the start of the film.

  • @Xochuitzotl no

  • I just love how 'silent' this whole film is. There's no need for flashy music and over-the-top dialogue that's prevalent in so many modern films. It really creates a great atmosphere for the story to develop.

  • @bluethunder121

I never thought the movie was about anyone of the specific characters but it was about the rolls 'fate' or 'circumstance' play in the lives of all the characters in the movie. Just my take on it.
