@VinceCharles This is not carnal at all, God is Love. Love is use in many ways in the bible, rather its love between God and man, woman and man, and child and man. Men was not meant to be alone thats why He created Eve. There are too many stories of couples in the church splitting up, so if this is a way to remind married couples that marriages do last with God's grace, and mercy so be it.
