An open source molecular visualization package (PyMol) was extended to integrate two forms of head tracking (wiimote IR based and webcam based). In the demonstration video, we first illustrate active tracking using the wiimote and IR-emitting eyewear and then show our passive tracking using only Apple's built-in webcam.

Configure the headtracking software to recognize a unique pattern that could be printed and displayed on the viewer. Or configure it to track a bright spot of light which could be worn by the viewer (led "head" lights are available everywhere now)

What a great way to showcase your work.
Hope all is well with you.
