@MrSneakmind I have no doubt in my mind whatsoever that the USA OWNS MVC...anyone who knows their shit would never debate that...No Problem X isn't a Blanka player, he Plays Seth...and If I'm not mistaken he beat Momochi, Justin Wong and others at Canada Cup. But he is one player...we have a lot of very good players in Europe and I stand by my earlier comment, Japan is def above..EU and USA are on par....for ssf4

@MrSneakmind You're right, in my opinion EVO is the biggest and most hype too. But I think when people talk about home advantage, they mean that there are over a thousand USA players, so it's obvious that there are gonna be allot of them in top 32. Besides that, in my opinion, if you are a top player and you live in the US, you must go to EVO. It's different when you don't live there, it's just too expensive.

@ToshiroMifuneSamurai of course, but Evo is the big one, it's kind of lame when people try to discredit it just because it's in america. homefield advantage only goes so far, I mean sure maybe kazunoko couldn't make it, or bonchan, but mago tokido fuudo DAIGO do, a LOT of the best of the best go. Evo is probably the best tournament at determining the skill levels of players, obviously it's not perfect, not even close, but it does a good job.

@madmanspeakz again not trying to diss european players, there are some really great players out there, but saying europe as a whole is on par with the competitive scene in America is laughable. There's just no way.
Also we're only talking about street fighter here. I mean come on let's look at Marvel vs Capcom 3 for second.... lol. U.S. has that on lockdown. Fucking. Lockdown. No competition whatsoever.
-
@madmanspeakz and even if it did mean something for some reason, by your logic FC Jago is the greatest SF player in the world because he beat daigo once. And he isn't. not even close. SVB2012 and evo are COMPLETELY different, it's cont. basically comparing a major to the fucking world cup. Evo is the biggest fighting game tournament. oh and finally all canada cup videos are readily available on youtube, there's no hiding here.
-
@madmanspeakz haha oh wow. Ok dude I know you don't like hearing that "lul all europe players are ass" and tbh no, there are some very good players in Europe that get brushed aside but you are soooo wrong on so many levels.
First off, if problem x is that gimmicky blanka that played during the Team USA vs Europe matches, then honestly that win means jack shit LOL. Blanka is all gimmicks, one round matches is where he excels.

@MrSneakmind Alioune Sensei can't win EVO if he isn't there. You can't play well if you're not there. And no, NOT all the best players are at EVO. I didn't see players like Alioune, Kazunoko, Bonchan,.... All of them got the skills to win EVO.
And don't say that players should just go there. That is the lamest argument. Don't think that everyone from Europe or Japan has the money to go to Vegas for a tournament, do you even realise how much money that is??

@ToshiroMifuneSamurai Evo is 129031283x different from SBO. Evo is like the world cup, SBO is a really big major. All the best players are at evo, if no european players get top 20 or something like that then no european players played well that's that. you just have to get better instead of making lame excuses like "home advantage" lol wtf is that even
-
@watsup516 Dude...maybe your argument is valid when you compare Japanese players to europe and america. But when you compare America to europe you are chatting out of your ass. The US and Europe are about level. You want to talk wins and losses...
At Canada Cup a UK player called Problem X RAPED Justin Wong and knocked him out of the tourney...did the yanks upload the video.....er no.
Hmmmm I wonder why...
Come SVB 2012 and see how many americans place top 8
Then we'll talk EVO

@watsup516 There are more than 1000 USA players in evo, they have the home advantage and there are only a few Europeans. Not so strange that there are no EU players in evo top 8. I don't see any USA players in SBO top 8 either. Besides that, even the best players need some luck.
