Kevin Andrews' Testimony Before the MA General Court Joint Committee on Education

Hear Kevin Andrews, Executive Director of the Neighborhood House Charter School, give testimony about the successes of Charter Schools in Massachusetts: "Based on initial reporting by our schools to the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, LEP enrollment in charter public schools in Boston has jumped 144% in the past two years. Among the new replication schools that opened this fall as a result of the 2010 education reform law, 22.4% of the children are English-language-learners. Among the schools that opened before this year, the ELL population has risen 50% in spite of the limited number of openings each year in these schools."
