First of all don't call it a backside 900. It's just a gay ass ballet move. Secondly, Why are you mentioning martial arts? If what you were doing was cool enough you wouldn't have to use skating names for your gymnastics moves. Why not call it a piroet or whatever you gay people call those.

backside tricks always have 180 degrees taken off.  eg backside 1080= 900 degree rotation total.

to answer your question, this imo is easier than a cheat 9. It help to have it but by no means is it required.
