It's hard to realise that these guys were once just small time local musicians eking out a living until they jammed an old Crudup number for fun in the studio and rocketed to stardom and changed music forever. I can't think of anyone who influenced me more than Scotty. I must have played his solos on Baby Let's Play House and Tryin To Get To You a zillion times as a teenager.

Thanks for the comment and I agree, it is pretty amazing. One thing I learned about working with all of the old Sun Records folks, there was something in the water back then for so many great and still influential musicans came out of Memphis/Ark. area at the same time.
