SC2 formations

This is a small demonstration of how you can keep units in a preset formation by clicking outside the "box" of that unit group. Blizzard doesn't allow for there to be auto formation buttons perhaps for the purpose of leaving it to player skill to manage that. I prefer that than easy, I win dodged your AOEs button. You also won't find a move at slowest unit speed option as that takes a lot of skill at managing troop movement.

@Wade2st However allowing mutalisks to follow a target under them or right clicking the target will cause them to converge, so good micro is required to click outside the box, use hold command and keep a lock on your target.

@XATX14 Keeping formations works by A) having an army that isn't too spread out and B) clicking out side the box (as mentioned in my video description). What that means is if you were to draw a rectangle around your selected army, you would want to click outside that rectangle to keep formation. If you click inside it, units in that group will converge on that point. This is thus the magic box mutalisks and other air units can use vs thors.

I stumbled upon the same feature and did a little video about it because i can not do this on purpose.
