How do you switch between clean and distortion while recording?

I realize you can always pause the recordings and stuff, but is there a way to do it all in one shot?

@joseluisbeep haha well some people think it's lame to sit down. i only stood up so i could get farther from the camera mic so you wouldn't hear the pick hitting the strings, but not with my pod that's not a problem. plus it's easier for people to see what i'm doing so they can learn the song!
