Naked Necks are one of the most cold hardy chickens out there. They lay well even in winter. They are also a bit larger than your average chicken making them good for both meat and eggs. I think the fact that they are not the cutest chicken in the world makes them a bit easier to slaughter. Another name for them is Turken although they are in no way related to a turkey. Some people think they are a mix between a turkey and a chicken haha

@iluvindia01 soft shell eggs try  providing a little crushed oyster-shell or calcified seaweed will ensure that any deficiency is rectified, for the birds will not take more than they require.
