This is Mewser, so named as she's incredibly vocal! I got her and Harvey (now deceased) from the same rescue centre.

She was clinging to a window frame 8 ft off the ground and terrified. Even though she as an adult cat, she was so thin that she could squeeze in to a gap thinner than an Evian Bottle. She had been neglected and possibly abused in her previous home. I have no details but she has broken ribs that prevent her lying down, she has to fall down - as you see in the video, on something soft anyway! She has weak hips and cannot jump on fences. She also has hardly any teeth as I think they have been knocked out. I don't know if her injuries were accidental or inflicted (I dearly hope not). It took me months of patience and love to get her to trust me and feel confident. Now she is the most loving and funny cat. As she enters old age, she shows no signs of losing her playful kitten character and her loud raspy purrs are joyful. She sits with me as I work at home, my watchful taskmaster!

And yes, I am wearing pyjamas! My nails are O.P.I Purple with a Purpose!!!

  • Hi

I watch your videos and follow you on twitter.... and you seem to be quite motivated for exercise..... I was wondering if your are following any diet or exercise routine that is effective or if you could give tips on exercise that motivates you? im trying to lose weight in time for April and have found that gyms are very expensive and not that motivating......

i would be grateful for any tips you could offer :D thanks

  • Motivation is key, I had a goal and fitness test to get ready for as part of my job. Set yourself realistic goals like running three times a week just for ten minutes and at any pace. It takes time to build up stamina so don't be hard on yourself if you're not able to run miles or do 10 push ups in the first week! I don't diet or try to lose weight. My goals are to be fit and healthy. I actually put on weight as I have gained muscle on my legs and arms!

  • Such a sweet and touching video. Your voice is very calming I might add.You would make a wonderful mother. It is very evident that you have a kind soul and love animals very much.

  • Thank you, that's a very nice thing to say. x

  • aww so purrty :) my mum lost one of her cats last wk is had died in her neighbours garden too just curled up - he brought it back on a spade! we were all devastated she had had him for 10 yrs. She is thinking of getting another rescue cat :)

  • Aw so sorry to hear that, that's awful for your mum. At least she could bury him and say goodbye. xx
