The most common car I see at the side of the road are the new VW Golfs, apparantly one of the most reliable cars you can buy. Hey I saw one have its engine blow up in a cloud of smoke on the M1 last saturday. Never see Land Rovers broken down and everyone I know who has one say there's have been reliable. I sometimes wonder where these statistics come from...

Land Rover has terrible quality. Resale is terrible. Fuel economy is terrible. The only good thing is its probably the best offroader there is, when it works. They don't sell Defenders over here. Just this junk. Land Rover actually has the worst quality of any car sold in USA

wow wow wow... ive driven one and similar cars in size and i must say they handle just as good or better, and i have a range rover classic (known to be the most unreliable car in the world), and if a land rover's maintained and cared for a little they run FOREVER. mine has saved the day in more than one occasion when my mothers mountaineer breaks constanly

You complain so much! Do you want a butler to open the back door and carry you into the backseat or what! All you have to do is pull a handle and it lifts.

“you have to find these little bars ... “ oh that whingey voice ((

lol at the people bashing GM cars while trying to prove that Land Rovers are reliable. Don't get me wrong, I love Land Rovers but they are just awful with reliability.
-
@adrianitaaguilera Well, that's interesting because even Top Gear UK has said that the Range Rover with the 3.5L Rover V8 is the most unreliable car in the world (at the same time the most reliable car in the world- Bolivia Special). Don't get me wrong, I love Land Rovers, but they are usually rated among the worst brands for reliability.

Land Rovers will last forever, but you will replace a lot of little things to get there.

@phanchochan 70% may be on the road, but that comment doesn't count the repair bills!
:D

@jokawood Exactly right. These cars are statistically the least reliable cars in the UK yet I've never seen one broken down. There's a lot more to go on wrong on one of these compared to a basic car and if you can afford one you should be able to afford the maintenance.
70% off all land rovers ever made are still on the road today
(1948-today/1.8+million made).
case in point ITS RELIABLE!!!!!!!

I never really seem to understand what the fuck a silly yank tries to complain about one of the most refined European car when its famed for its reliability and an excellence in combining all terrain comfort perhaps the only downside is the price but then again you get a lot for your money. Quality, not like a glued together GM shit.
Cheers
