Taking A Chance On Love - Dorothy Dandridge song from the film Remains to be Seen 1953. Sorry but MGM haven't re-released this old black & white movie - In my opinion a dud except for Dorothy's nightclub scene singing this song - and she's in great voice putting to rest the idea that she couldn't sing! Hope you enjoy it and the pics. WMG Copyright might apply & this uploaded only for fair use, education & interest of the late Dorothy Dandridge's fans only. Check out "Bright Road - Trailer" for a 25 sec clip of her singing this song from Remains to be Seen.

  • I love her so much..... she can sing :)

  • i have hear many versions of this song and this is the best, the barbra stresand version is too slow and she tries to enlongate the notes,dd is the real queen

  • Straight warm singing without the pretension and gadgetry of most later singers.

  • I love this classic song and I love her singing it too. Thanks.

  • what movie is 1:48?

  • Applauding endlessly...simply beautiful ;glowing....

  • I most enjoyed ... thank you.

  • @thomasmoredamian Amen! Many, as I've said before, don't know that Dot was quite adapt with tap, as the piece you've cited reveals. I grieve that Dot didn't have proper handling of her bountiful talents in Hollywood. So many missed opportunities with her!

  • Gorgeous arrangement and sung with ... perfect charm ... thank you ... applauding.
