Boat ride on the Mae Kok River to Chiang Rai Thailand part 1

Join us in this video as we take a long tail boat ride on The Mae Kok River east of Thaton to Chiang Rai Thailand visiting a Lahu hill tribe village along the way. The river was very low so make sure you have an experienced driver from Thaton NOT Chiang Rai. We did see a boat from Chiang Rai with tourists hit a rock and break a propeller. Most boat drivers from Chiang Rai go only as far as the village of Rhummit so they don't know the river from there to Thaton.

Whoops sorry for the last post with a random time, lol. I've only done this boat ride from Chiang Rai to a Lahu Hill village about 1 and a half hours up river. What time of the year did you go? Hat Yao was the Lahu Hill village I went to. Thanks for great vids ;)
