  • @rakaur So have you stopped reading him?

  • Totally agree about Twitter. I tried to follow him, hoping for a more portable DF experience… but my tweet stream was quickly inundated with useless sports tweets. Stay out of my life, sports!

  • @townradio (Sorry for my late response — YT sucks at notifications.) Anyway, I’d *like* to believe there’s a difference between the two accounts. There may be a small one, but I just now found two individual (recent) sports-related tweets on both @gruber and @daringfireball. I’m not trying to be a jerk — hey, no one misses out but me! — but my decision not to follow Mr. Gruber stands.

  • Gruber is a very intelligent man. He's also not a blind sheep like most Apple haters like to think of him, but rather the ones who think he IS are actually the ones who are blindly loyal sheep to whoever it is they follow (not Apple).

  • @kmj4850 "Tool?" No man, I think you're mistaken - Obviously Gruber is a fan of Apple, but not to the point where he can't recognize where Apple is dropping the ball. He's the kind of fan Apple needs - a critical one.

As for a comment section on a blog, he's addressed that. If you want to take issue with what he's talking about, write your own blog. He's built DF to be what it is - random commenters do not get to share his platform to bicker and argue points ad nauseam.

  • @rakaur - He charges $3000 a week for sponsorship, not $10,000.

  • @lloydwooduk If you're following @daringfireball, then you could just as well follow the site via RSS. Twitter isn't meant to be an RSS-reader

  • Hilarious!

  • @scampercom - did you follow @gruber or @daringfireball on twitter? There's a difference...

  • up until six months ago I read DF daily. I stopped when Gruber started going over the top. It seems as soon as Android started out selling Apple Gruber went off the deep end. I dont need someone to tell how great Apple is 24/7 Gruber has turned into an Apple tool! Maybe he should turn the comment section back on, or maybe he doesnt want to put his money where is pie hole is. I tune into Macbreak weekly and it seems Leo and the guys share my same thoughts. Its too bad.

  • Oh. My. Agawd. That's exactly why I stopped following him on Twitter.
