Kid Rock - 'I Am the Bullgod' at Emo's - Austin, TX 11/10/98

I've gotta admit, back when Kid Rock played the Warped Tour just a few months previous to this Emo's show, I thought the band put on a great show, even though most of the Warped audience were booing the band. In all reality, Kid Rock was one of the punkest bands at that show! Kid had more attitude than the lead vocalists of many of the other bands combined. Also, this was before MTV had discovered Kid, so the music was fresh.

Leading to this Emo's performance just four months later. There were only a handful of people at the show - around 40 to 50 folks in attendance, not counting the other opening band members, standing around and watching in awe. Kid and gang blew the roof off of Emo's that night!

Yeah, you've got it exactly right. Kid Rock hadn't even been mentioned on MTV yet, prior to this gig. But, since this was an Austin show, the Kid had played Warped Tour just a few months earlier, so a few Austin locals knew what to expect... a killer, mind-blowing show!!!

Thanks again for putting this incredible video on here! I"ve been to 11 KID ROCK shows and everytime is better than the last! Noboby puts a show on like KID MUTHA*ukin ROCK!! I've met him about 6 or 7 times! He's one cool dude, really down 2 earth!
