  • I grew up at 342 B.44th street...I rode by there last year in a car and the house is still standing..I love New York! Thanks for Video.

  • @MyCobragirl You grew up in a tight knit neighborhood. I remember it well cause I lived on B.40 street for a little while. You were probably surprised when you saw your old house too. What a shame that everything there is now gone. We can only hold the memories of days gone by ... in our hearts. Thanks for your post.

  • Truly a step back in time..Awesome job Tony..Brings back many memories of Hammels

  • @scoobydudeify .. Glad that you enjoyed the video! You're so right, truly a step back in time to memorable moments everytime I watch it. Thank you so much for your kind words and for posting.

  • Thank you for this video.

I grew up on B91st. We used to play baseball in 180 too! That would have been around 1976 - 1979.

I went to BCHS. I left Rockaway Beach in 1984, I go back every few years to visit my sister.

It was a great place to grow up, so many nice memories of fun times and laughter!

    Thanks Again,

    Joe

  • @netcord Hey Joe, I'm sure we have run into one another from time to time back at the Appetito grocery or the post office. It was a great place to grow up and the memories of those days will always remain in our hearts. Thank you for your post. ... Tony

  • Good news to hear they are cleaning up Rockaway. They promised to clean it up when I moved to rockaway, long time ago.

  • For many years it was left to deteriorate up until last year when many new wonderful looking houses went up all along the beach area. From B 76 street - B 66 street (along the beach) ... you would not recognize. Subway stations are being rebuilt and NYC buses have taken over. No more Green line buses. A new paved street (the new RBB) and an influx of a new Jewish population in Far Rock area. Thanks for your comment.

  • How is Rockaway, today? its been along time.
