@mapscannotcontainme couldn´t agree more with everything you say, they were both, a tribute to the scientific ideal

First of all, thanks for the upload.
Second of all, is anyone else as profoundly impressed by the apparently amicable way in which Darwin and Wallace agreed to recognize the independent conclusion the other made as I am? The maturity and integrity of that decision about such a monumental scientific claim is almost as impressive to me as the theory of evolution by natural itself. As if I needed another reason to admire Darwin and Wallace...I have it, regardless, though.

I want to know more about the 'steam governor', as mentioned at 3:30.
Can anyone suggest, via Youtube, a good explanation?

The Logos is a more complex idea than you make of it. I suppose that I have only read Heraclitus on the subject, so I may be wrong, but he seemed to have used the term to mean pattern or perhaps even Law of Nature. I know that "logos" literally means word, but its usage implies it had a different connotation.

I'm referring to "Nous" in GREEK (not French);
1. NOUS (Greek) = Mind or Intellect.
2. LOGOS (Greek) = The source and fundamental order of the cosmos, Communication or discourse, communication of thought by words; talk; conversation: earnest and intelligent discourse.
a formal discussion of a subject in speech or writing, ., any unit of connected speech or writing longer than a sentence.
DNA code arises out of Nous.
Information & language arise out of in a mind.
(see: nous / logos).
