Blacks fought on both sides, they were treated the same on of sides. They for the south for the same reason a lot of whites did, was to pertect their land and family. Learn ur damn histroy dumbasses. @BLUEBOYNJ An American flag is an American flag. If the Confederate flag was proudly flown  and fought under by brave Americans that is reason enough to keep and honor it. I'm getting pretty tired of being told I should feel ashamed of the best country mankind has ever known.

The American Civil War... such a disaster in US history. My deepest symphaties goes to the South. The war was fought at the worst possible time in history, and the Union washed their hands by blaming the issue of slavery on the Confederacy, when only the Union bears the blame, They should stand up and admit it, to regain honor and respect. The south have been unjustly treated in the history books,

I wish the South still took a strong stance on states rights; the federal government is far too expansive these days, far more than it was ever granted. The South needs to rise again someday to protect the AMERICAN way; and this is coming from a Californian.
