  • The drummer is fine. I don't think he overdoes it at all. At leat he has the guts to pull more out of his kit than most drummers (=90%), who 'underdo' their drumming. His drumming ads to the song, in a different way Carter does it of course, it is his own interpretation. He isn't Carter either, but he did do him justice if you ask me. Drumming is just so much more than only time keeping and doing fills and such, on the contrary to what most drum teachers and professionals might say.

  • @Shitfuckerino the drummer here was in a terrible trucking accident not long after this video was shot. He made a short come back about a year later but then had to have extensive surguries to repair damage to his abdomen. After over a year of not being able to play he will be making his debut come back show with us this weekend. I couldn't be happier!

  • this drummer doesn't compare to carter

  • Not many do but Chris does a fine job

  • Ridiculous how good those covers were. I minute suggestion though, for the guitarist; after your jam is over during ASTB, maybe think about switching from acoustic to an electric with slight, yet clean distortion? Too Much's down and dirty funk sound is characterised by the somewhat crunchy guitar sound. But great job overall, and thumbs up on the winds!

  • Dave himself doesn't switch to eletric why should I? LOL But..... Now that Tim is touring again with DMB.... the eletric you hear on the studio album is now heard. :-)

  • do blackjack!!!!!! :D

  • @darzik I'm glad to hear he's fine again.

  • Now with a second view on this video, the drummer indeed overdoes it a little...

  • @Shitfuckerino

Or maybe my taste in drumming is just unconventional.

  • possibly one of my favorite videos on youtube

  • this is true, i give him props.

  • you guys need to come back to syracuse!!

  • fantastic! you guys sound great! very close to the real thing!!

  • yeah, that's pretty much what I meant =P I just think the song sounds cool with electric, that's all.

  • DAMN you guys are REALLY REALLY good the except the drummer does over do it haha. The thing that makes Carter so good is his selection of what he plays, seems to just to cram in the most he CAN fit sometimes. But over all this is a GREAT cover!

  • Is that you on Guitar/Vocals?

  • we're actually friends with those guys on MySpace. Good band.

  • Its pretty awesome dude. Thumbs up! And as for the drummer....he's playing it just fine, but I'm not really digging the cymbals(not quite sure why)and perhaps change up the tuning on the heads. But what do I know lol...great job!

  • They rock as well, I'm not much into any kind of cover band, but good DMB cover bands are worth it.

  • great job uncle tony! its me lee :P

    keep it up :D

  • I like the dancing of those brass players. Tight stuff. O yea, great covers.

  • why because he refuses to play Carters parts note for note? I'd rather a drummer try out different vibes then one who copies everything note for note... shoot... Carter himself changes it from tour to tour. But like I always say..... show a video of you doing better :-)

  • The drummer clashes with the whole band.

  • you have a right to your opinion.... but you know what opinions are worth ;-)
