Catford was an OK place to grow up in back in the 60's and 70's but it's pretty grim there now. I always thought the cat was really tacky, and anyway, the name Catford has nothing to do with felines.
The area got the name because cattle used to cross the River Ravensbourne there. Cat+ford.

catford is slums! there is nothing exciting! yeah yu can get by but thats about it! post office tesco, does she think the surrounding areas are prehistoric!

catford since day its my home u no, lived thru lot of experiences here sum gd sum bad but dats life, and i agree on the part of the video abowt the catford cat it does defo need a revamp it gt like black tape holding it together and stuff and it is an iconic statue for catford it would be so much better wid a little tlc, dnt u think so,

I grew up in Catford and when I was a little girl I used to be scared of the cat because I thought it was going to jump on me.
