  • im between either this or the SPECOPS T.H.E. Pack

  • @1269shadow Because I believe in freedom of speech and the right of individuals to share ideas- dissenting viewpoints included, in this medium without censorship. In that regard I offered an opinion, and qualified it. I'm sorry that you seem to have taken it personally. We have different opinions on the subject. I see that as a good thing. Have a Happy New Year.

  • @hybrid4163 OK, since you want to question it: The Maxp products simply are NOT US Mil Spec. Call Maxp and ask for US Mil Spec Material Certs. They do not meet those standards. They haven't been tested because they cannot be submitted on US DOD contracts as they do not meet Berry Amendment. They are made by Tim Tang's family's factory in Taiwan, not a US factory. They do not use Cordura, or other Mil Spec certified materials. Why are you posting Maxp on a Paladin review?

  • @1269shadow Saying they aren't 'suitable' for military use, suggests they don't meet mil specs. I'm not aware of Maxpedition having failed to meet same. Many manufacturers can and have met those standards. Usually only one supplier gets the nod, unless they lack the capacity to meet the order by themselves. Who can meet it at the lowest price gets the contract. You'll notice I praised Maxp- who I have experience with, but didn't put Paladin down. I have more Maxp now and their quality is #1.

  • @hybrid4163 I'd have to disaggree. These Paladin products are designed for both civilian and military / law enforcement field use. The Maxp products are suitable only to civilian use. I've never seen a Maxp product issued to a military unit. Paladin designs are US Special Forces Official Issue. And I have heard that their quality is questionable.

  • I use one of these as my school bag!

  • That is a smart piece of kit... good thinking to have the zippers go full length of the bag. The drop down mesh is brilliant as well!

  • I have to agree...I like the Maxpedition series better. Not saying this is a bad product, just not preferrable to my mission. Overall, it looks like a quality made product.

  • Awesome pack. I would consider buying this.

  • Cool. I want one. Great info.
