This is a video document of a short lived band Portland (now residing in Nashville) folk rocker Craig Carothers put together to promote a new 1991 album for Atlantic Records.
That album was finished, but never got to surface.
The band itself was a good one and the sound on the video is very good for a cable access production.
Credit should go to Lawrence Mc Graw, who was the original director/cinematographer on this date in 1991 at Blue Lake Park.
The tune "Lightning Rod" is written by Craig and has always reminded me of Bruce Cockburn in it's feel and delivery.
The personnel:
Craig Carothers guitar, vocals
Tim Ellis electric guitar, vocals
Gary Ogan keyboards, vocals, percussion
Phil Baker electric bass, vocals
Carlton Jackson drums, vocals

Thanks for all the detailed info in your posting, and your comparison to Bruce Cockburn is spot on.
