The original broadcast is tense to watch, even when you already know the events that took place later. It is interesting to see the graphic of the contact light come up even though astronaut Armstrong had to take over for the controlling in the Lunar Module.

Same here. I'm gonna miss Walter Cronkite. His presentation of the Evening News was top notch. He was a staple here at home. RIP.

It's so refreshing to find someone else that can state facts about this most magnificent of man's accomplishments. I can scarcely believe there are still people that believe that it didn't happen. I wonder if it would be possible to invert all the skepticism to a magnificent dream that would become reality and rescue this ailing planet from mans environmental stupidity? Sounds like a good episode for Outer Limits or Twilight Zone doesn't it?
