  • So this means people might actually be sued for uploading media, thats bullshit! It is universally accepted to contribute to peer-to-peer servers and to share any media with anyone on the internet. It has been made an inevitable right, and will remain one. This bill can't pass.

  • As my friend says - This bill will make richer people richer and poor people poorer...

  • Thanks for selling us out, Prentice. I, like every other individual in Canada, rather enjoy being automatically guilty and having to prove my innocence to the corporate culture hacks.

    Remind me to send you a thank-you card when I get my first lawsuit or have my laptop searched by Homeland Security.

  • Is this taking effect now?????

  • Prentice, don't feed us horse shit and tell us it's chocolate. "Updating copyright law so it reflects universal standards." He means AMERICAN standards, which are not only ridiculous, they hurt consumers and limit creativity.

    Welcome to Canada, the 51st state of these United States of America.

  • Vernier gave a nonsense answer. I don't think language was the barrier, she doesn't understand technology.

    And can you honestly believe Prentice would explain the bill to a child, in the way that he did? He really lied, because one example was $20,000 liability, not $500, because a digital lock was involved in the infringement.

  • She's hot, but they are both FOS;

    He's at least decent at being a stooge and reading the script he's given; she can't even do that; the situations would probably be switched if they were doing this is French?

  • How does this protect consumers you lying freak show?

  • A couple of botox-powered corporate robots, masquerading as leaders of a free society. Go Conservative bushie-loving minions, follow the corporation's orders!

  • What he is saying in response to DRM is: we do not care about personal use. If the publisher wants DRM, and you break the DRM for personal use, you break the law.

  • I kept waiting to hear an answer to any of the questions, but i never received one.
