From the 70's ---circa 1975---? Where did Paul buy those teeth?

Paul is amazing!!!

That was B Lowery playing the lead guitar and Don Breeland on the bass guitar.

I am a devoted Lanny Wolfe Trio fan, but no one could bring down the building like the Downings with this song. They sang it a little slower and a little more stately which made it more "matter of fact." It was absolutely impossible to remain seated during this song at a Downings concert. What a great memory this video brings back. Thanks for posting.

I don't think it was the 60's but more early 70's. I saw the downings around this time. This was when Dony McGuire was married to Joy Gardner. Now he is married to Reba Rambo.

It's amazing to think that this was the cutting edge music of the day. Loved it! Thanks for sharing!

Unbelievable. I love this song. I first heard The Downings in concert, in Kokomo, IN, in the 1970's. I have never forgot this song, since I heard The Downings sing it in concert. It has stuck with me all these years.

I remeber that cute little redhead, Joy! This must be from the late 60's. What an impact they had on me.

It was great seeing this and this song, I haven't heard in YEARS. I grew up with this song and it's great to hear this.
Paul Downing, JD Sumner, George Younce, Big Chief, Armond Morales and London Paris were great bass singers that sounded distinctly different. Paul shows great quality here.

That was great to hear Paul do a little solo in there. He was one of the best to ever sing. Do you have anything with Paul being interviewed or doing a recitation? His talking voice was equally as powerful as his singing voice. Thanks for posting. Awesome! 5 stars
