DS Doom is a port of id Software's FPS game Doom to the Nintendo DS handheld video game console. Using the DLDI enabled version of DS Doom, it can be run from the Games n' Music slot-1 homebrew device made by Datel. This video assumes you already know the basics of patching for DLDI, and that you have the Games n' Music DLDI file and a patcher.

You need the DS Doom program as well as the Doom assets, which you can either get from a full install of the real Doom game for PC, or with the shareware version (first level only) that's on the DS Doom site.

??? what does that have to do with the comments i made

  • @killkenny5000

Ok but, the nintendo ds doesn't supoort midi music.Yes it does support music but it only supports converted music. I'm not sure what nintendo uses. But I'm totally cool in dropping the arguement. But I would encourage you to check out my channel, I have a neat dsdoom mod that I'm making called (DsDoom3) it might just give you a reason to play dsdoom ;)

  • @FANADICALCOWHEAD but hay lets just stop this arguing thing over doom

besides we both just made a flood of comments over this vid :l

  • @FANADICALCOWHEAD no dude i love doom music but this guy is suppose to show game and music so i dont hear any music but the gameplay and sound effects

im mean the gameplay is great but no music reminds me of the jaguar port

but the DS will get its version soon i think

i mean like uh nintendo did use doom like 4 times

doom on snes-GBA and doom 2 on GBA and nin64

  • @killkenny5000

It doesn't matter if it's retail or homebrew it's still a port non the less and the fact that dsdoom is based off of a powerful doom port (PRBOOM) makes it even better to play with. If your only argument for liking GBA Doom2 over dsdoom is strictly based on music. (Which you're entitled to your opinion, mind you the music isn't exactly great ) And also, dsdoom isn't complete, if ever a midi compatibility code were to be created you'd have no reason to pick GBA Doom over DsDoom.

  • @FANADICALCOWHEAD reason why its free cuz u download it on the PC on some website for example like (4shared.com)

i got the full version of (DOOM-DOOM2-heretic-hexen) for free not a single charge and yes their is music for it
