Brothers is a 2009 American drama-war film starring Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman. Directed by Jim Sheridan, the film is based on Susanne Bier's 2004 Danish film Brothers (Brødre) which takes place in Afghanistan and Denmark. Both films take inspiration from Homer's epic poem The Odyssey.

its not just the movie, or the script or the actors who do a good job acting that makes the movie. the composer has a HUGE PART making the movie and with his or her ability to understand the movie and dig deep and pull the emotions out of us.thats exactly the case with this movie.the music makes the effect a lot purer and that better.hats off to the composers...this is THOMAS NEWMAN, he is great...he did (meet jo black, shawshank redemption etc etc...gustavo santoalalla is another great composer

I balled my eyes out during the whole movie,

My cousin and sisters boyfriend are in the army,

I watched it once long after it came out and was totally blown away...this song is so beautifully sad it could make me cry. I just watched the movie again and it's now my 3rd time to...this movie is really truly incredible.
