maybe it's just cos im from the english countryside, but i don't understand all this stuff about looking down on straight-edge?

I'm straight edge and mostly i get a confused response from my peers to can't grasp the concept of a life without drugs, and it's certainly never won me any friends,

why is that i read things about straight-edge kids being cliche, or following a trend, or being fake in order to gain popularity? certainly isn't the case here
