A District 4 RCMP Officer needed back up at 11:20AM on the Trans Canada Highway at Elmwood drive because the person was fighting him. People were stopping to help the Officer before Codiac RCMP arrived on scene and then District 11 RCMP also arrived on scene. Many RCMP members were on the T.C.H. both in the East & West Bound Lanes, searched the car and there was a male arrested and in the back seat of the cruiser. Tow truck was called at 11:50AM and the person arrested was transported to Codiac RCMP station at 520 Main street in Moncton.

  • nice catch! did you happen to get any Video of the head on collision in Riverview Tuesday Night around 9:15?

  • @tamaimpa no I didn't make it to that

  • Do you know why they where fighing?

  • @PoliceWillProtect no all you heard was Officer in a fight and needs assistance, well there were many Officers responded when they heard that .

  • Do our RCMP NOT carry Weapons? IF I was an officer and I had a weapon....well lets just say I wouldn't be calling for BACKUP...I would be calling for a paramedic!

    Good job NEWSCHASER!

  • @partswoman LOL I like your attitude!

  • @partswoman Then the guy gets some allergic reaction to the OC/Pepper Spray, or gets a bruised/broken bone from a baton, gets burns or cardiac problems from a taser or dies from bullet-wounds, and next thing you know everyone's complaining about why the cop used a weapon and didn't call for backup instead.

It's just a pity that the cops, be they RCMP or otherwise, have such a catch-22 job.

  • @partswoman

Yeah and with our Canadian laws the bad guy that you beat up would sue you and be living in your house in a month. This is Canada remember. People expect our police to be all warm and fuzzy especially when dealing with criminals that mean them harm. The CBC would be on scene in a flash reporting how the officer had the audacity to defend him/herself with a weapon.

  • No wonder the cops catched him. Hes driving a civic :O

  • Police state,

police have more laws to put citizens in jail, then we have rights.

  • man fuck cops i spit on the very thought of an RCMP officer.

  • @Newschaser illegal to have in your possession a device which can intercept police communications.

  • @stevosredneckrepairs You've obviously never tried to restrain someone. It's actually safer for everyone involved (police AND arrestee) to have 4 or 5 officers restraining/arresting them. One on one, it's a fight; five on one, each officer can take an arm or leg and restrain without having to seriously injure or resort to higher levels of force (baton, pepper spray, taser, etc.)

  • In my way of thinking if the police officer needs backup then perhaps he is not capable of doing his job im sick of seing 5 cops jump on 1 guy to arrest him and beat up or kill him

  • @Kurmuh

We weren't talking. A better choice of word would have been penning, writing or perhaps corresponding.

You call me a retard yet you are clearly not smarter than a fifth grader. You were very entertaining so thanks for that.

  • Go look it up nerd. Anyway I'm done talking to retards.

  • @Kurmuh

Notwithstanding your uninformed opinion, people are pulling in ridiculous sums of money. Please educate yourself and read a magazine, a news paper, or something at all for that matter.

Funny you mentioned grammar when you don't know the difference between your, and you're. The word "olds" shouldn't have had an apostrophe and I think you are referring to proper grammar, not correct grammar.

You should stop discussing matters that are clearly beyond your knowledge base.

  • @pcmr57 Yeah you can still sue, but you won't be making a lot of money. Idiot, learn about Canada before commenting to show you're intelligence. I'm tired of responding to 12 year old's like you who can't even correctly reply without using correct grammar.
