Una serie TV di dieci ore, suddivise in otto puntate, per raccontare la storia del leggendario viaggiatore veneziano del XIV secolo che inaugurò la via della seta tra l'Europa e l'Oriente. Prima grande produzione occidentale girata in Cina fin dai tempi della seconda guerra mondiale, la serie costò, nel 1982, 10 milioni di dollari e le riprese durarono ben tredici mesi. Interpretata da Ken Marshall nel ruolo di Marco Polo e Ying Ruocheng nel ruolo del Kublai Khan, la serie vede la partecipazione di numerose star internazionali tra cui Denholm Elliott, Anne Bancroft, John Gielgud, Leonard Nimoy e Burt Lancaster. Coproduzione Italia, USA, Francia, Inghilterra e Austria.

i was born in 1980, i used to watch this like a kid.all my life i knew that in this picture was some nice music.i love movies music and after 25 years or so i found that i was right, i love that main theme from this movie.thank you for uploading.

In a interwiew for the magazine Studio(85),indagaram Morricone why use both the "voice" in their various works,in that will track your orders:"the voice of man in the most beautiful,most perfect,most perfect,because it comes the depths of your body is a bit of a rumor of a body is a bit of a rumor of a bodyeven the sound is snatched from life,with the voice,there is not mediastion of the instrument,the sound is directly rooted in our guts".This explains my passion for Morricone.mlmmarcoslima.
