  • On a smooth track without magnets the ball will roll until it loses all of its energy to friction. Now imagine the same track with the pole of a magnet below it at some point. As the ball approaches the magnet it will accelerate and as it passes the magnet it will deccelerate. With enough velocity it will escape the magnetic field and complete the next loop but it still loses energy each time around. More magnets looks cooler but follows the same rules.

  • @BAUMausHOLZ and rare earth minerals aren't rare, they are just called rare by nature of discovery, since discovery the things involved in the material in a rare earth magnet have been found to be common, extremely common, common enough you can dig the same material up in your own back yard. it comes down to charging the magnet. and that charge runs out. and it takes allot of energy to produce a million volts at a thousand amps, which would be the low end of the rare earth magnet charging scale

  • @XxWhoopiexX but you can make magnets puch your balls upwards a slope & then let it slide down back to start no?

  • @xllxBrandonxllx because then he would be a trillionaire for inventing perpetutaul motion or how every u spell it

  • that thing looks like it could be mega-mans arm

  • what is the piont of this?? Just asking?? :S

  • i like pinball

  • @Diamonddavej who's right?

  • Each time the magnet accelerates the ball you need a spring mechanism to build up a tension so by the time the ball got around it would be strong enough to pop and knock the ball over the magnetic gate barrier and start the process over again. Just a thought.

  • It sounds like the engine on my 1973 Ford Pinto -- "clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk." Maybe that's how the car engine worked?
