Wotagei (ヲタ芸) together~☆

Wotagei is cheering moves by otaku and it's performed under the stage of live concerts. It's the most fun and best way to enjoy the Japanese idol concert. You can feel certain connection with the person performing on stage when you actively involve yourself with wotagei. Momoi Haruko is one of my favorite Akiba idol and LOVE.EXE is the best of the best songs to do wotagei so I just decided to show you how it goes. Behind me is my little sister who doesn't have a clue what she's doing but I just asked her to copy me.
I am going to have a wotagei panel at G Anime 2012 and I hope you will come to the panel before the concert because I want you to enjoy the Japanese idol culture to the fullest and you can't say you've been to an idol concert until you've jumped up and down dancing wotagei~! It's really easy and I will teach you step by step and practice together so hopefully you will be ready for Doki Doki First Date Concert at G Anime 2012~~!

At first I thought your sister was you because of her hair and i was watching it on facebook where it was small, but then I saw the energy in your wotagei and your big smile and I recognized you right away XD I want to wotagei with you so bad! or i want you to wotagei for me! or something! ;w; you just have so much energy for it! @tentontim Oh thank you! I was always wondering if it was different cause it sounds similar. Most of the yelling I wonder about is for the Maid Idols. Especially Candy Star and Kanzen Maid Sengen.

@TheHelloBatty What gets shouted out depends on the artist and the song. For example, in this song, instead of the standard MIX chants (the Tiger! Fire! etc. part), you can do what's called HALKO MIX (which is just "Haruko!" chanted 7 times). It all depends on the specifics.

I should also note that in Japan, certain artists and certain locations ban otagei, because it can be disruptive (and fights have broken out over it). One needs to be aware of the situation/atmosphere.
