  • hey i have a horse im training on right now and she is JUST like chappi and i think the bit and martingale rig she was using would be perfect for this mare is there anyway i could get more info on it like where ot buy it? THANKS!

  • @RowdyCowgirl0601 Hi, You might want 2 watch the 2nd video of Sherry training Chappi. She tells what bit she is using. You can find her bits at about any big online store or even in western retailers. I recommend Smith Bros Online for the largest selection. The martingale I believe by looking at it and I have one is a Martha & Ed Wright german martingale. Chk with them whether the reins are included or not. They work really well. They also have bits. YouTube won't let me post the link. Msg me.

  • good and helpful tips but that horse looks really skinny.

  • @horsenerd1 are you sure we're looking at the same horse? Actually he looks in excellent health and is in top race shape. Anytime a horse is in top racing form his body will look more sleek and long with no excess fat but all muscle. That's how Chappi looks to me. It's a combo of hay, grain and excercise. Just look at Olympic runners or race horses. If they are too heavy they will be more likely to get hurt. His ribs aren't showing. He looks just right...

  • really like this horse because my gelding has a lot of run also & I have to reinforce rate!!

  • @RanchRaised They tend to be more difficult to handle but if you ever get them solid they sure are awesome, aren't they? I've ridden both. The one's that rate easily and the one's who are always on the muscle. Thanks for commenting!
