@gijaneybabe Which would be great if the whole "cooling since 1998" wasn't cherry picking data points.

@chotaboy66 Rofl...don't think you could've inserted anymore into the "world conspiracy template" if you tried.
-
Ian's book is a must read for anyone interested in the science of climate change. Forget the biased interview, read the book and become the smartest kid on the block. or for a short cut watch the 5 part youtube video presentation.
-
Southpark cartoon drawers experts on climatology science, hmm.
-
The fact that the interviewer seems to be in the bag of the global alarmists makes for a good interview.
-
This interview is extremely biased and clearly has an agenda. Ian is right and does real science.

@gijaneybabe I'll try and make this easy for you.
1. Google "Earth's Temperature History"
2. You should find pictures of graphs. In these nice little graphs you'll notice a line going steadily diagonally upwards. Note that it is not a straight diagonal line.
3. Why is it not a straight line? Well this indicates that the Earth does have cooling off periods within a decade or so.
4. Google 'Earth's population history' Compare both graphs.
5. Do more research. (Andrew Bolt dosn't count)

@pseudotruth - Yep, that volcano going off in Iceland really convinces me.
Plus "false misinterpretation" is a double negative.

Tony is not getting the point that Ian is making regarding how the temperature measurements since 1998 appear to show a cooling. Ian is saying that in the context of the entire history of Earth this means about as much as the brief periods of warming recorded in recent history....ie. not much in the greater scheme of things. Ian's saying the debate can't be about what's happening, but about whether its due to human activity!
