@AznMahou No matter the current state of Religion you underestimate the contribution it's made to civilisation. The progress that Muslim empire made during the Dark Ages for example. But yeh, it's kinda outlived it's usefulness :-/

@elguapoalso Indeed sir, you make a good point. Religion has been a bane to knowledge. Religion fear things it does not understand so it destroys them. That is why is 200 years since the grip of religion weakened, knowledge is advancing at a accelerating pace.

It would seem that the price we pay for allowing people to force their beliefs on others, which is masked as "religious freedoms", is much greater then we can afford at this costly point in human evolution. Our planet is dying, and we don't need any more problems to stop our scientific progress. We must either fix our planet now, or start exploring other planets to live on immediately, we cant wait for magical beings to save us, which are summoned by prayer.

@NeutralExistence Excellent thoughts and I agree with all of it. Religion, especially monotheism, always has and always will play a destructive roll in society. It really needs to be thrown into the dustbin of history for good. All these weird ideological myths that so many people cling to have long outlived any usefulness they may have had. There is nothing healthy or natural about them.
