  • shouldn't you lock the grabbing hand down first so he cannot let go? check out my video "wrist control theory", i explain it their... but i like it, good job on the other videos though! i love to see different material, its all theory anyway.

  • Is there any way to strengthen the wrist after one of these? This kid did it to me and my wrist bone seems broke. It makes a loud popping noise everytime I move it.

  • russmorr facing your oponent in that forward position makes you lose your balance and makes you easy to push. Also three of the seven principles of hapkido are (push pull) (circle) (flow), I don't see any of these used in your interpretation of this technique. Also it's not an arm bar, it's a wrist hold, my father is 60yrs old and studied with the founder of hapkido GM Choi, he nodded his head after watching this video. good luck.

  • @TheSenseofTouch most Eastern martial arts are, and most chinese martial arts have direct roots in india. go figure huh?

  • NEVER!!! NEVER leave the thumb free during a wrist lock technique! That's suicide! Otherwise the technique was okay.

  • @TheSenseofTouch ... don't you think its so unimportant where a style was invented? In my opinion the style doesnt matter anyway, it depends just on the martial artist, his training and his input. Ive studied styles from Japan, China and also SM Hapkido, and unfortunately Im no a pro anyway, but IMO they all have their good sides. Train hard and respect each other, if you do so, any art from anywhere will make your life better.

  • It's a standing arm bar. on the ground you use arms and legs for jj or judo

  • yeah i think he meant Hapkido was stolen from Japans Aikido..just like tae kwon do is a copy of karate...and korea itself being a unsuccessful copy of Japan...Har har har

  • Haha~!! What is the relationship between Hapkido and China~?? haha~

You made me laugh~!! China?? haha~!!
