A convicted child molester appears at a public forum in Binghamton NY and breaks down crying because he can't find a friend. Unbelievably, the County District Attorney calls him "brave" and "courageous" for "putting a new face on sex offenders."

You can continue to proclaim to the heavens your blatantly intentional ignorance of the facts regarding sex crimes, and that's fine. Luckily, there will be people who will see through your thin attempts to apply labels such as "pedo activist" to people when you can't argue on their level. Sorry, but I see no citation for your "case studies." They're anecdotal evidence if you can't point to the study so it can be reviewed and scrutinized. Empathy and other emotional states have no place in criminal management. Also, ignoring my points won't make them vanish. One example: "over 90% of NEW SEX CRIMES are done by FIRST-TIMERS THAT AREN'T ON A REGISTRY ANYWHERE. How do you plan on stopping these new sex crimes?"

Not all sex offenders have abused, raped or molested anyone. A lot of them were caught with child pornography, or pee'd in public, had consentual sex in public. etc. Yet many will suffer horribly because they must be registered, hurting those around them for just existing, having to walk on thin ice in every public or non-public situation. They will die alone, no freedom or hope... nothing. That is a life sentence my friend, all because they were convicted for a crime that had no victim.

If you repent and ask God to forgive your sins, no matter how atrocious they may be, he will forget them. But if you ask the court system for forgiveness, truly apologizing for your actions and mean it and know deep in your heart you would never do it ever again, the court system ignores you and banishes you to be alone for the rest of your days, not able to have kids, good job and hope to be free again, hanging you until you become homeless or dead... That's the difference between God and Man.

As I understand it, this guy has been convicted of molesting a child, and that this is something he has to deal with. If, however, people think he's not really fit to return to society, then I suggest further incarceration instead of treating the man like an outcast! What he did, was terrible, but it's not going to do us any good treating him or anyone else like an animal.

Move where??? And, what if a non sex offender would have killed her?? who would they blame? what if a BLK person Killed her,, would they register all black people??? It is sad,, things happen,,,,More kids are killed in Automobile accidents then from the hands of any sex offender,, Yet,, parents still are willin to take those risk! Lazyness!

The Sex offender Registry is Just Predjudice made legal! if u look back,,Blks were hung for the color of their skin,, Jews were exterminated for their nationality,, now poeple are rediculed just because they commited a "sex Crime" . Funny how Sex Crimes are defined on Catholic Standards,, looking at all the Catholic priest being brought to trial for sexual misconduct. Ironic isnt it??
