Well here is part 2 of the first ever collection of the new 360L bins by a brand new MJ GenV on a cool spring Tuesday in September. These trucks are used all the time for recycling and garbage along with the green waste, on this day one of the Raptors was in for repairs (typical). There are another 36 GenV's on order as well for Brisbane.

I haven't uploaded a movie for ages as I have been overseas and am also not working full time as I am know an apprentice carpenter. We travelled to Europe so look on flickr for some photos of trucks and incinerators. But here is a movie that people have been asking for for ages, hope you enjoy.

I have also gotten a new camcorder, so my future movies will be in Full HD!

  • Nice to see the some 360L's being tipped by the one and only MJ GenV, also at 2:30-2:35 was that your Hilux with your 240L & 360L at your place? if so cool as.

  • @MegaDirtyHands Thanks mate, nothing beats the GenV. That is my Hilux in the background, it has some more gear on the tray now, but its awesome!

  • seems like the larger bins are becoming more popular over there, for greens and recycling anyway. Since Otto is back in Australia you reckon they will have 360 liter US style ottos in some cities since they now make them there also?

Those Sulos are nice, does this truck have standard grippers for a GenV or are they a bit larger to accomidate for the new recycling bins? either way they work well

  • @3amrepmike3 These 360L Sulo's are becoming more known over hear, but I believe Brisbane asked Sulo to develope a larger bin design. Brisbane was the first council to get them and we are the triallers of them. This GenV has standard grabbers, one of the PDS requirements was that the bins had to be 360L, but still fit in a standard 240L grabber, so that a GenV or Raptor can pick up the bin. I am not sure what OTTO are doing, Sulo have already gotten a lot of interest with the 360L bin.

  • how many bins dose this truck take in a load and how do i get a gen v to do my area and is it the same drivers every week at your suburb. it is at mine

  • @Binboy112 These GenV's can pack up to 600 garbage bins, but recycling is closer to 400 or even less so that the material can be separated properly. The GenV's should do your green waste, no other truck collects that. The same drivers collect my bins every week, unless one truck is broken down. If a Raptor breaks down then you will get a GenV doing the waste or recycling.

  • The moment I have been waiting for... finally saw two 360Ls get emptied :P Not many bins still out there eh? Love the sound of the Accos under GenVs... alwasy have the loud and hard sound to them! The two vegetation trucks we have in Warringah are some of the meanest ones... some of the thundering which escapes the exhaust pipes :P Sweet footage! Also got a few other councils in NSW looking at introducing 360L including Lake Macquarie and Clarence Valley...

  • @macdonaldjohnstonfan It really suprises me how the Sulo 360s are so long from front to back, The US style OTTO and SSI have a more similar footprint making grabbing them no problem. I guess they wanted to stick to the standard look of the original 360s as much as possible.

  • Nice stuff.

  • @3amrepmike3 these grabbers are the same size on all Side Loader models MJ offer

  • Engine sounds better then those Raptors over there. Much faster then any other garbage truck in Australia. Handled those 2x360L bins very well and took that load of paper so easily. Mate awesome footage, just alittle dent at the rear.
