I have just recently purchasd the Samsung HD camcorder, and I've recieved it today. I've been playing around with it for hours on end, and its great. @buckod It's not only Samsung that uses H.264 compression for HD videos. Almost all camcorders use this compression. And you're right, it can't be used in Sony Vegas, Adobe After Effects or Final Cut Pro without downloading add-ons or plugins or converting the File.

This is a decent camera but be aware, Samsung has a codec on the file type that cannot be used in Pro editing software, only power producer.... May not be a good option for prosumer or higher....
