Director's Statement

"Since embarking on this project we've encountered some of the nicest and down-to-earth individuals we've ever met. Almost without exception, these world-class tandem surfers have been helpful, kind, and generous with their overwhelming support of our little film. From Hawaii, Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, and France, these exceptional people have donated their time, footage, interviews, and even spare bedrooms to us. They've invited us into their lives and given us, not only a glimpse into their art and sport, but a glimpse into their hearts and their most intimate feelings. Jayne and I feel truly fortunate to have been welcomed into the "circle of trust" and the "circle of love" surrounding these Tandem Surfing World Champions. In our attempt to entertain and uplift, we've tried to show tandem surfing in it's best light possible. We've also tried to explore that commonality of love, which defines us a human beings and gives meaning to our lives, through the tapestry of of our film. To all the Tandem Surfers connected with this production, we say "mahalo nui loa and aloha" from the bottom of our hearts!"
