Nokia, the worlds leading maker of mobile devices, has a new product that a lot of people are talking about. WebProNews got a first hand look at the powerful device at CES 2010.
According to the Nokia representative we spoke with, the Maemo-powered N900 is like a mini computer with a phone application. The Linux-based Maemo platform allows users to complete multiple online tasks on the small handheld device.
Specific features of the N900 include:
- 32GB of internal storage
- 3.5-inch touchscreen
- Full QWERTY keyboard
- 5-megapixel camera
- Carl Zeiss optics
- Dual LED flash
- Ovi services
In addition, the home screen can be customized with up to 4 different viewing options. Also, the device has a stand that allows it to be put on a table or counter for easy viewing.
Nokias N900 is currently available for 69. It comes unlocked and can be used with any GSM carrier. For more information on this device, visit www.nokiausa.com.

@07liberian na, i got mines new with a contract..
that means im pretty much stuck with it for 24 months, but u know apart from the now occasional lagg the phone is cool..
everytime i discover something cool u can do with it, i start to like it more again...
let me ask u this then,, if u left ur phone battery to die completely, when u plug it to ur charger how long does it take to turn on??
mines takes like 3-5 agonising minutes!!!
that annoys me to. blackberries do the same to apparently

@07liberian yeah seems to be a bit better after the update but still laggs from ime to time.
example is when i go to view videos, half of them show that there missing and after about a 5-10 second lagg they re appear and sometimes when i click to watch one i find myself tapping for ages to get it to come on. and also another thing thats rubbish, whenur on a call and ur friend gives u some onesnumber u click on keypad to type the number but u cant call or store it so thats pointless having it
