It's the zone's annual light show!

That's how the rain looks like whenever I switch to Full Dynamic Encanched Lightning (DX9).
Playing it with a Geforce GTX9800+.

The real cause behind this is due to one (or both) of the following two reasons...
A.) The developers are lazy.
B.) The developers are fucking morons.
This bug has survived two games and several patches. Why it still exists is beyond explanation and/or excuses. Yes, STALKER is a great game and GSC is to be commended for thier overall efforts, but a bug of this blatant, lasting and widespread nature is ridiculous and unforgivable.

I have this bug for the past 2 times it rained at night.... which is also t he past 2 times it rained. I don't think exiting helped me... I will check now again.

Jusr save and restart the game. there's nothing wrong with your hardware it's a software bug in the Xray engine
-
graphik ram defekt ???

i have the same bug in SoC - but i dont know why... ( DX 9)
-
I would have guessed it'd be a DX10 issue. I haven't disabled it yet, perhaps I could try that.
-
i think it's from the resolution. if i change my resolution in-game, this happens, but then i just exit the game and launch again . it should be fixed

I also have this graphics bug. My card is HD4870 with the newest drivers (9.10) and not over-clocking.

Hi. I find that when I start to get this artifacting. I'll immediately make a Hard save (actualy go to Save AS, and make a new save game), exit STALKER, start it back up, and reload your game. This usualy takes care of the issue for me. It's a known bug in the Xray engine. Hope this helps!
