If there was ever a school that, on their own, earned it's right to continue to stay open, it's this one.

It's funny because despite any problems you see in our government, a bunch of teenagers in office would be worse. There's nothing particularly special about the students at this school they are very similar to the ones at any other school in Peterborough...

PCVS had double the students of TASSS at time of closing... It was almost 80% FULL ... just sayin. AND.. more than 70% of the students could walk to school...Only the out of towners were bussed. The school board has repurposed the building but it is not sustainable.. it will likely become the school board offices in 5 years..they like wooden floors and transom windows too...

Immigrants don't get any free perks, where you re getting this about free dental? If you're calling them turds, then you are a turd too because everyone in Canada is an immigrant except the natives. Canada advertises to attract immigrants in their countries. So we invite them in. Can't blame them for coming when we ask them to.

Overall immigration has a net positive impact on our country's productivity (which is obviously why all governments continue it) so they are not parasitic at all.

If you want that $250k apply for a grant. Like I said, we give far more to Canadians than foreign countries. But most Canadians agree that its worthwhile to give to people outside Canada who need help to survive, so we'll continue doing it.

I'm not going to argue about the first two things you said. But that last paragraph would be a grave mistake. Canada would literally die out. If we had no immigration, we would be facing a serious issue with a declining population. 2/3rds of our pop growth is immigration.

Typically governments actually try to increase their legal immigration rate, because it often brings in skilled workers from abroad, and theoretically creates a stronger internal market. Those people also become taxpayers.

Some people are missing the point. No reason to talk about immigration. Natives can. But everyone immigrated into Canada, if not personally - parents or grand or grand grands. The land that is now Canada has been inhabited for millennia by various Aboriginal peoples.
