@Intrepidoutdoors youve obviously never used a decent twoblade cut on contact bh then aussie hogs arent a problem with them or scrub bulls or buffalo either if u know how to sharpen them yourself last a hell of alot longer as well meaning less money for more kills
I'm sorry but if the Hades is a 3 blade broadhead, why do you use the muzzy 4 blade? Does it mean it isn't better then the muzzy 3 blade? Compare it with the muzzy mx-3 or regular to give credibility to the test, otherwise people will think that's not a true test, like i'm thinking now...
Well, I did not harvest feral hogs; but I did harvest a very exotic four horn sheep with my Hades broadhead ... despite what the naysayer before me had said. Complete pass through! It was a double lung shot that I have to admit took some time to draw the life away from my bovid. I don't have video, but I do have photos. The Hades is a very effective broadhead even with my set up of Martin Cheetah at 50lbs of draw weight. I did it!
I bought these not trusting mechanicals in the least. These fly like my field points. I'm afraid that these will cause some major damage to the feral hogs I will be hunting/harvesting soon.
the way i see it, if the back is sharpened too, then if the arrow stays in the animal then that is just another edge to cut and tear stuff up.... I LOVE THESE BROADHEADS... i have shot muzzys and crimson talons and many others and these are by far the best i have ever shot, tough as nails
sometimes a broadhead gets stuck inside the body cavity ( like on a shoulder blade shot) I'm guessing the back cut causes more damage as the arrow moves around while the animal trys to run. The way I see it, it can't hurt to have a little extra cutting surface, even if its only needed on that 1 out of 100 kinda shot. You know?
Liver shots stop bleeding pretty quick, I have shot one deer in the liver, I knew it was a bad shot, but I watched it go about 200 yds into a field and drop. I still waited 2 hrs before I walked out to it, it only dropped blood the first 100 yds. When we dressed it out we noticed that both holes, entry and exit clotted up before it dropped. My buddy hit a nice 9 last year in the liver at about 9am, we went after it about 2pm and found it within 150 yds, once again blood trail only bout 100yds.

Here on the west coast, you can't use mechanical broadheads...it has nothing to do with bowhunters "refusing to use" them like the speaker says.
