Anyone who drives a Subaru in an area where there's road salt knows that these cars pick up rust spots behind the rear wheels.

Since this is my daily driver, I can't take it off the road for more than a few hours for necessary repairs. In this video, I chop out some rusty metal and make a hard-as-a-rock patch.

Looks terrible, but is cheap, and should be durable, plus should delay the future spread of rust in this spot.

  • Very helpful video! I'm thinking about borrowing a friend's garage and doing this over the weekend. All four panels need fixing. :o(

  • @jaedonavey Best of luck. Relatively small bubbling in the paint can hide a surprising amount of rust.

  • I like your sense of humor

  • @overmanonfire Thanks.

  • Thanks, on both comments.
