  • Just saw one of these on the streets in Chula Vista, California - I nearly crashed three times! Awesome little cars - Kei NSX!

  • 愉しそうな車ですねほんと。公道を走れるカートのような存在。

    でも悲しいかな煽られるでしょうね。

    力だけみればNAの660cc こんなのを煽って愉しいのかどうか・・・ですね。

  • very nice car. i own one and am in the Philippines and had some engine work done. parts are a bitch to get from my part of the globe so am very happy to get it on the road again having it sitting in the shop for 4months!

  • @Callum027

    1. japan doesn't "rate" their engines by HP, they rate it by PS.

    2. Every website you find, is written by someone who had no clue what they are talking about. Including Wikipedia.....

The Honda Beat, VIA the OWNERS MANUAL, states "92PS", which when converted to HP, is 90HP (using shitty online calculators) which is MORE then our measly 64hp everyone sees everywhere. Do some real fucking research instead of reading Wikipedia and other homemade web pages by mr. joe shmoe.

  • @bastec666 Kei car engines are limited to 660cc, 64hp... ever wonder why every other kei car is 64 hp? It's not just Wikipedia that says this, pretty much every website and motor show that has ever reviewed kei cars

  • @Callum027 Did you get that info from Wikipedia? or one of the other 10 websites that copied the same shit word for word? The OEM manual for the thing says 92PS, which when I used a converter at the time converted 92PS to 94HP.

Contrary to Wikipedia, Kei cars are not limited to HP, but engine size. Anything over 700CC was considered a standard car. The beat easily kept below being 656CC. The 700CC is also generic, since the actual size of engines varied year to year.

  • @bastec666 The Beat came stock with 64hp. Any more and it wouldn't have met the regulations for kei class tax rates.

  • you realize a beat come stock with 94hp right? learn your conversion rates. 92ps to hp is 94.

  • Actually it does 0-100km/h (0-60mph) in around 8 seconds. Don't forget this car is naturally aspirated, while the other cars in its class are usually turbocharged, so this does better with fuel economy.
