On January 1st, 2011, Clark Co. Sheriff's Deputy Suzanne Waughtel Hopper was shot and killed while investigating reports of shots fired at Enon Beach Campgrounds, in Enon, Ohio...

Clark County lost a truly outstanding and dedicated deputy, her family lost a beloved daughter, wife, sister and mother - and - even though I hadn't seen her in many years - I am among those, who lost a truly unique and special friend...

Although her life was cut short - Suzanne will live on - in the memories of those that knew her - until we walk through death's door - and are reunited with her again...

The poem in the video was sent to Suzanne's parents, husband and her extended family, co-workers and friends - at the Clark Co. Sheriff's Dept. - in Springfield, Ohio.

For the video - I chose the version of "Candle In The Wind" that was re-written by Elton John for Princess Diana's funeral in 1997 - because - with the exception of the mention of England - this version seemed as if it could have been written for Suzanne.
