I've heard more inspirational calls on Dave Ramsey than this. It was a good call, but I've heard better. I'm not mad at him for saving that much money though. Good for him.

Dude, he's a millionaire, and it's HIS money. He is probably more happy married than you are single! Besides, if he owns it, and he wants to sell it, he will get a good return on his investment, and he can enjoy it at the same time without worrying about payments.

i'm proud to say that's my little sister, one day Bridget will be living in Boston mortgage free , retire a millionaire, and even eat only the finest food instead of Alpo. She puts me, our older brother and our sister in law to shame. I had to go buy a new car when I graduated high school in 2006 so I could be "cool" or normal.

I hope to be like these men someday, so I keep saving money, keep my expenses low, work extra hours, yeah I agree with Dave Ramsey when he says "SHUT UP" to those jealous envious people who want to talk down to and scorn those who succeed financially due to their diligence. Punishing people who make over $250,000 a year by heavily taxing them is sowing the seeds of socialism. Grow the hell up! Mike in Texas should be proud!

I'm about the same age as Dave's son Daniel Ramsey, funny how at 18 years old as a first year or "rookie" adult I already have my life together. I am living like no one else so that later I get to LIVE like no one else. I put $100 a month into a growth mutual fund. Some adults I meet are so immature and they're much older than me.

After your debt free, including your mortgage, buy, pay off and rent out a new house every 5 years or so and increase your income $10,000 to $15,000 per year whenever you pay one off. Imagine having five paid off properties with a cash flow of $60,000 per yer or so from them alone. Retire without needing the 1.5 million in your Roth ira!
