@Mooorhe: The ones doing the SHUT UP were the rude ones. Let's hope they never went to a Bee Gees concert ;)

Please consider he was 33 at that moment, amazing!

didnt he sing "sly"?
his voice may be in tatters, but it still has wonderful capacity for expression, like seeing the pantheon in ruins.

La voz Mas Bella del Mundo !!!! el mas Romantico,el Unico !!!! Gracias Josep !!!

This is terrific! Thanks for posting this!!
By the way, Carreras has since denied that he said he is retiring from the opera stage. The statement that was printed by the media was a misinterpretation when he said that he no longer concentrates his efforts on opera. He states that if artistic and professional conditions are right, he will consider doing an opera again. However, I really doubt he will ever sing opera again, I just can't imagine that his voice could handle it these days.

Greta great just...amazing!!
Thank a looooot!!!
I think 6:58 was just a case of some people thinking the aria was finished and trying to begin their ovation, and the more knowledgable opera fans doing the whole 'SHUT UP AND LET THE MUSIC FINISH!'.

Very nice singing, Carreras at his best, thanks- but yeah what happened at 6:58?! =P Also it's cut off at the end, oh well :-)

That keeps happening on Windows Movie Maker =l
I guess I'll have to try something different next time.

Hmm, tell me, do you use mp3's for your audio files or WMA? Movie maker seems to take better to microsoft's format, (unsurprisingly)
I've had movie maker do wacky things with mp3's too, messing with the length etc; so if you're using mp3 you might try converting to wma first. Otherwise, no ideas =P
Thanks again for the post (feel free to delete this)

It depends, often it's MP3, this one was Mp3.
Thanks a lot, I'll try and convert the files in that case. Would I be able to do that with Media Player?
However, my files are usually one MP3 file for the whole opera/recital, I'm guessing it would take a while to convert the whole thing?
